I think I may have bacterial vaginosis. I am on my 6th day of Monistat 7 and I still have some symptoms so I don't think it was/is a yeast infection. I have NO health insurance so I can't go to the doctor. I don't have a planned parenting clinic in my area. We have a health department but the soonest appointment is in May 08!

My symptoms are now;

a not so fresh smell. Not sure how to descibe the smell. Sometimes it does smell a little fishy, but mostly just doesn't smell good at all. I can smell it even through pants!

A white/clear discharge.

I did have itching, burning skin with it but the monistat cleared the itch and redness up.

I am a virgin so I know it's not an STD.

I've apparently had it for a few weeks… at first the doctor diagnosed me with a yeast infection I used the 7 day treatment as directed then today… the 7th day I noticed I was swollen and irritated still and by chance the nurse calls me and tells me I have bacterial vaginosis.
Im pretty mad at them for having me go through a yeast infection treatment needlessly especially during pregnancy .. Will the man have chance of contracting this if no condom is used while treatment of bact vaginosis?

well, no, its not, as the man can contract the disease too, and then just re-infect the woman once she's healed..it is suggested you stop sexual activity until she is healed, or at least use a condom..but it might hurt her..
