Vaginal issue, possibly bacterial vaginosis?? need some help.?

This is very long in my head but I’ll try and make it short. My girl friend and I have been together for a year. Between each other it has been our first time at everything.
The first few times I fingered her she started out dry and there was no smell at all. We started having sex occasionally and still would finger her. One day, she discharged for the first time unexpectedly and there was a little bit of an fishy odor…. that was about 5 months ago. Since then, she’ll discharge a slighly yellow discharge with a fishy smell when I finger her and her vagina is always wet and always has a smell. I’ve been reading for weeks about women and related topics to try and get answers for her since she still lives with her parents and can’t easily go about research or help. I’m thinking it is bacterial vaginosis… I want to know what others think. There’s no itch but simptoms are, pain during sex if I go to deep, cramps after sex, smell, wetness. Any ideas or home/store remedies?
trying to solve this without going to gynacologist… would not be easily done by any means.. thanks

Well, it sounds as if you are trying to diganose something over the internet which is not a safe bet. It sounds as if she needs to see a doctor about the discharge. Some discharge by a woman is completely normal, but if there is a foul odor it should probably be checked out by a physician. I know you said this would be a problem and I don’t know what the problem is…financial or worry of parents finding out. If finances are an issue, try to take her to a local health clinic…most if not all counties will have a free clinic or fees based on a sliding scale. If that is not an option, have her tell her mom she needs to go see a doctor for something ( make something up if she has to ) then she can tell her physician in private what the problem is…she doesn’t even have to tell him she is sexually active, although honesty is the best policy. There is a patient/doctor confidentially and even if she needs medication for whatever the problem is…he/she will be better equipped to to discuss it with her parent’s.
If you can…get her to see someone for the problem.

i am here debating on a hydrogen peroxide douche to help wit bacterial vaginosis now me and my friend are trying to figure out why would they say u can douch with it but when u read the bottle it says for external use only so i am assuming u cannot douch with that she also stated she has reoccuring bv and the medications are not working so we are here looking for home remedies have u heard of the peroxide douche ,or what other home remedies will help serious answers please and please dont say prescribe meds cause apparently they are not working

No, please do not douche with hydrogen peroxide! It can actually be very irritating to sensitive tissue such as the vagina, especially if already inflamed. Do you have an actual diagnosis? Depending on whether you have symptoms or not, treatment may not even be necessary. If pregnant or having symptoms, there are treatments. Usually metronidazole (Flagyl) gel or tablets are used. The gel is nice since it is applied directly, allowing you to avoid taking an oral medication but it is expensive. Many women try other approaches instead of, or in addition to, medications- especially if this is a recurring problem. Those include eating yogurt or taking probiotic supplements, avoiding getting water in the vagina which can wash out the good bacteria (this means no tub baths, douching, hot tubs), avoiding tight-fitting clothing, and in general having good eating habits and getting enough sleep.
If you are having symptoms and do not have a diagnosis yet, you should get checked out- it could be a yeast infection or STD.

im doing the whole yogurt thing could this make my infection go away?

Use some cloves of garlic as a vaginal suppository. Leave it in there for the entire day. Replace a new batch each day for the next few days.
