The doctor prescribes antibiotics of course. But it only comes back and can also cause yeast infections. I'm tired of getting this. I figure I can save money and time by just doing it myself. If its gonna keep coming back anyway. I heard from someone that her doctor said put yogurt on a tampon because it works just as good as what he would prescribe. But idk. Only helpful answers please thank you!
I've had it twice before, I take the prescribed medicine correctly and until they're all gone. It still comes back. I've been reading on this and alot of women seem to suffer with this. They tried lactobacillus acidophilus yogurt. orally and as a vaginal suppository as well as a vinegar douche. It seems to work for them. But I dont know there is a way to cure bv without antibiotics. Since the antibiotics work temporarily and cause yeast infections. There is no point in returning to the doctor repeatedly. Waste of time and money.
The yogurt treatment is a home remedy for yeast infections, not bacterial infections. I don't know how well it would work for a yeast infection, but it would do NOTHING to help a bacterial infection.
A bacterial infection needs to be treated with antibiotics. There is no other safe, effective treatment. If not properly treated a bacterial infection can spread to your internal organs. You do not want this to happen. Take the antibiotics prescribed by your doctor.
If your bacterial infections keep returning, you are likely doing something wrong. Are you taking the full course of antibiotics, following the instructions exactly? Some people just stop taking the pills when they feel better, but this will not kill the bacteria. When you have a bowel movement, do you wipe backwards or forwards? If you are wiping towards your vagina, you are probably infecting yourself with your own intestinal bacteria. Do you use a douche or any other non-prescription product in your vaginal area? If so, stop.
Recurrent ‘Bacterial Vaginosis’ can be very traumatic to live with. Sometimes after taking all the creams, potions and antibiotics the problem still comes back time after time. After suffering with recurrent bacterial vaginosis (BV) for over 3 years I eventually found a totally natural cure. The claim was to be clear of bacterial vaginosis in 3 days. Imagine my delight when I found the claims to be totally true. If you have bacterial vaginosis for the first time or have had recurrent bacterial vaginosis for some time this is something you really should consider looking at Bacterial Vaginosis Help – The 3 Day Cure
I'm eager to hear your comments...

BV can get really serious and can cause infertility if left untreated. I would mess with home stuff. Go to your doctor. get it checked out, make sure thats what it is. then the doc will give you flagyl and that will take care of it.
Honey its your health, don't trust an online doctor, go to a real one!!

Try taking garlic tabs, goldenseal( not longer then 1 week) and taking acidophilous pills ( same stuff found in yogurt but without the sugar). The main thing is you have to change your PH level to keep bacteria from growing. Sometimes, just using harsh soaps when you bathe or sweating can cause a PH change. Go to a healthfood store, Im sure they can show you what you need. Good luck, I've already been down that road and it's not fun.
