No, please do not douche with hydrogen peroxide! It can actually be very irritating to sensitive tissue such as the vagina, especially if already inflamed. Do you have an actual diagnosis? Depending on whether you have symptoms or not, treatment may not even be necessary. If pregnant or having symptoms, there are treatments. Usually metronidazole (Flagyl) gel or tablets are used. The gel is nice since it is applied directly, allowing you to avoid taking an oral medication but it is expensive. Many women try other approaches instead of, or in addition to, medications- especially if this is a recurring problem. Those include eating yogurt or taking probiotic supplements, avoiding getting water in the vagina which can wash out the good bacteria (this means no tub baths, douching, hot tubs), avoiding tight-fitting clothing, and in general having good eating habits and getting enough sleep.
If you are having symptoms and do not have a diagnosis yet, you should get checked out- it could be a yeast infection or STD.
Recurrent ‘Bacterial Vaginosis’ can be very traumatic to live with. Sometimes after taking all the creams, potions and antibiotics the problem still comes back time after time. After suffering with recurrent bacterial vaginosis (BV) for over 3 years I eventually found a totally natural cure. The claim was to be clear of bacterial vaginosis in 3 days. Imagine my delight when I found the claims to be totally true. If you have bacterial vaginosis for the first time or have had recurrent bacterial vaginosis for some time this is something you really should consider looking at Bacterial Vaginosis Help – The 3 Day Cure

Douching is not generally recommended as it can throw the already out of balance PH in the vagina even more out of whack. I know that not everyone agrees with this- IF it is a bacterial infection, peroxide douche (I've seen it on the internet) *might* temporarily help but will also kill what other healthy "flora" (microrganisms) that may be there.
Your friend's vagina is not yours and she may not be taking the correct medication. For instance an antibacterial medication won't kill a fungus and an antifungal (aka "yeast") won't kill a parasite like trichomoniasis .
She – and you – need to have a swab taken to determine exactly what it causing the BV. Vaginosis is not a specific bacteria -"Vaginitis (aka Vaginosis) is a name for symptoms of swelling, burning, itching or infection of the vagina that can be caused by different bacteria, fungus or protozoa."
So get the correct diagnosis and the correct medication.
