Will amoxycillin/penicillin cure bacterial vaginosis?

Some Bacteria can be resistant to amoxy/pen. the only way to know for sure is to have the bacteria cultured to see what it is sensitive to. If it is resistant to amoxy/pen taking it can make the infection worse and the bacteria more resistant. Antibiotics should only be taken under the direction of a medical doctor.

Is there any known cure for bacterial vaginosis because I can't stand it anymore?

my suggestion wouldn't be to ask for opinions on here especially about medication, my suggest would be to seek a health care provider and get your bv taken are of.

Metronidazole or Clindamycin are the recommended treatments for bacterial vaginosis.

If you suspect you have bacterial vaginosis, you MUST be evaluated, diagnosed, and treated, by a physician.

Do not attempt to diagnose or treat yourself; do not take leftover antibiotics or someone else's antibiotics to treat any condition. There may not be enough doses to kill the infection; the dosage may not be sufficient (antibiotic dosages vary widely depending on patient and infection); the antibiotic may not work on your particular infection.

    Please read about BV at
    http://www.cdc.gov/std/bv/STDFact-Bacterial-Vaginosis.htm

Then see a physician. Penicillin is not used to treat BV.

I tried that. It doesn’t work. you really need the metronidazole. it clears it right up. The pen actually made it worse
