  1. Yes, but you may want to ask for a stronger dosage of cream from your doc. No, you don't need antibiotics or vag tabs with it as they are the vag tabs in itself and the doc may prescribe a cream that actually contains an antibiotic in it and is only administered once and medicates the vagina for 10 days straight. Ask about it, it works great and is very effective the first time used without a secondary use. You also may need to do one Monistat and after the 7th day, then use the antibiotic cream appliedon the 8th day and within the 10 days thereafter you will see a big difference because you might actually have both yeast and vaginitis. I did and using those 2 that my doc gave me killed it almost immediately as the antibiotic cream has to be used for vaginitis, oral med won't do it the same or as effectively because it is not in your blood stream it is where you apply the cream.
