Does BV contribute to infertility, I've had recurrent BV for yrs Ive had it treated it comes back everytime within a week, my bf and I have been trying to conceive for 2 yrs and no luck, could this be due to BV partly?
Thanks
BV can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease which in turn can lead to infertility, however this isn't the norm. BV is very common and some women deal with it for several years. I know women who have dealt with BV for over 10 years. These same women have healthy children. I would talk to a health care provider about your trouble conceiving, it could be another problem or even your partner may have the fertility issue. Also it may just be about timing. A friend of mine tried for 5 years before getting pregnant.
I have had issues with BV in the past. I limit my sugar intake, and take a supplement. Also yogurt has cultures that help fight the bacteria.
Hopefully you will be pregnant in no time. Good luck!
Any ideas?
I am wondering will vaginosis cause a man to feel sick to his stomache Once he has got it from the woman? Or is there a bacteria that can cause this if spread to him sexually?
of course, the bacteria which causes 'vaginitis' is communicable. Maybe his infected penis made him sick to his stomach??
I need help!!! I have battled continuously with horrible BV for almost 6 years. I just don't know what to do. I am so stressed and embarrassed. I have fishy odor and discharge (and it's getting much worse after sex). I have taken antibiotics for the past 2 years, but it doesn't help me…
Any one had any affective home remedies for Bacterial Vaginosis?
Please help me. Thank you all for your time
Bacterial vaginosis can cause a lot of stress and embarrassment, I certainly know what you are going through (I have suffered too…). You should know that BV is caused by an imbalance of naturally occurring bacterial flora. Antibiotics only make things worse- since it violates this balance even more. There are natural cures for Bacterial vaginosis and some of them are more effective than other. I cured my BV naturally and you can do the same. Good luck
Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is the name of a condition in women where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted and replaced by an overgrowth of certain bacteria. It is sometimes accompanied by discharge, odor, pain, itching, or burning.
Women with BV may have an abnormal vaginal discharge with an unpleasant odor. Some women report a strong fish-like odor, especially after intercourse. Discharge, if present, is usually white or gray; it can be thin. Women with BV may also have burning during urination or itching around the outside of the vagina, or both. However, most women with BV report no signs or symptoms at all.
Since men don't get bacterial vaginosis, male sex partners of women diagnosed with this infection do not need to be treated. Female sex partners of women with bacterial vaginosis may benefit from being examined.

Maintains intestinal health by restoring beneficial bacteria to the body. Counteracts the effect of antibiotics on good bacteria. Battles gas, bloating, toxicity and constipation. Helps with bad breath. Enhances the absorption of nutrients. May combat overgrowth of candida. May aid individuals with lactase intolerance. Vitabase\’s Acidophilus with Goat\’s Milk is a probiotic. Probiotics are dietary supplements containing live bacteria taken orally to restore beneficial bacteria to the body. These supportive bacteria can help restore the digestive system to a proper balance and reduce or eliminate many undesired side effects. By suppressing destructive yeasts and bacteria, a healthy balance is achieved providing you with maximum benefits. Ongoing research has revealed a number of possible uses for Acidophilus. Acidophilus works to break down food in the small intestine and leads to the production of lactic acid, hydrogen peroxide, as well as other products which help suppress detrimental organisms. Acidophilus also helps produce lactase, an enzyme which breaks down milk sugar (lactase) into simple sugars. This may aid individuals with lactose intolerance. This helpful bacterium is also key in production of vitamin K. There is strong research to show that L. Acidophilus may be helpful in dealing with bacterial vaginosis. Other uses include the possible reduction or prevention of some diarrheas and alleviation of irritable bowel syndrome symptoms and, possibly, inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn\’s disease and ulcerative colitis). Suggested Use: Once or twice daily, in the morning and/or in the evening. Take a capsule with water or milk. Supplemental Facts Serving Size: 1 Capsule(s) Ingredients Per Serving % DV Lactobacillus Acidophilus (Milk) (Equivalent to 100 Million Viable Organisms at Time of Manufacture) 100 mg * * Daily Value Not Established Other Ingredients: Lactose (Milk), Whey Powder (Milk), Goat\’s Milk Powder (Milk), Pectin, Magnesium Stearate,
You Could also try Femanol which is a great product for over all women’s health.

Chapter 5 – What is a Probiotic?
This is Chapter 5 of a 14-Chapter presentation which outlines the science behind the probiotic strains L. reuteri RC-14® and L. rhamnosus GR-1â„¢. This presentation is presented by Dr. Gregor Reid, Ph.D., MBA, who is a renowned probiotic researcher and the world’s leading expert in using clinically-documented probiotics to address women’s health concerns. Dr. Gregor Reid, along with his colleague at UREX Biotech, Dr. Andrew Bruce, have been investigating the use of probiotic bacteria to address women’s health issues for over twenty years. In the 1980’s, their discovery of two Lactobacillus strains, specifically L. rhamnosus GR-1â„¢ and L. reuteri RC-14®, has since led to over 20 published clinical trials and over 200 peer-reviewed publications that have documented the various beneficial effects of these two probiotic strains when taken orally. The health benefits include improved vaginal and urinary tract health, as well as restoration of a normal vaginal microflora profile in women who are experiencing bacterial vaginosis.
