Bacterial Vaginosis and No Period?

January 23rd, 2009

I've had recurrent bacterial vaginosis for about six months, and just recently I stopped having my period (four month lapse). Could these be connected?
I have been to a doctor… several actually… and i'm just wondering if anyone else has heard of this

Are you taking medication for your BV? If not, you should be. If your dr. is not answering your question to your satisfaction, I would recommend finding a new dr. Or there could be another reason for your missed period, possibly pregnancy, or another issue.

Recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis?

January 22nd, 2009

Is there anything that will ever get rid of it???? i heard about Tindamaxis. Has anyone ever used this i usually use flagyl… but it ALWAYS reoccurs…help!

Yea, hi. I answered your other question too but I had the same problem and after trying EVERY antibiotic the drs could prescribe I broke down and tried the things I mentioned in your last question. I’ve never heard of Tindamaxis but you can try it. I’d suggest trying something with it and not just that. No one thing cures BV apparently. But yea. I’ve had zero symptoms and without going through yet another treatment of antibiotics.
What I did…..again….take it or leave it.
I douched with peroxide and water (more water than peroxide) to kill the bad bacteria. Then I sat in the tub from like an hr with nothing in the water but vinegar to help restore the good bacteria.
AFter I went back to the dr I was told I didn’t have the infection anymore.
Then I used acadophalis tablets- you can even insert them into the vagina at night- to help build back up my good bacteria count. And now I do not have BV and haven’t for a few days. I also found that Rephresh is helpful and it makes your ph balance go back to normal.
I believe…and I’m no dr….that making this BV thing go away for good is a combination of all these things: Getting rid of bad bacteria, building good bacteria, restoring Ph balance, and eating right.
Ask your dr about what I said if you feel some type of way about it but like I said I treid everything that made me feel stupid (stuff like smearing freaking yogurt down there….)when I finally got tried of saturating my vagina with food and filling up on antibiotics- which also give you yeast infections by the way- I did this and it helped.

As you can see there is normally not one thing to take to cure bacterial vaginosis for good. it normally always comes back. You need a totally natural cure that is in tune with your own body. Find out more by checking this book BVCures
